  • LA Business Portal and the LA County Department of Economic Opportunity – Los Angeles isn’t just for big fish. The City of LA and The Los Angeles County Department of Economic Opportunity, provides resources and connections tailored for small businesses in the area.

Access Government Incentives

Government incentive programs are available to help your business expand or relocate to Los Angeles.

​

  •  Opportunity Zones   Opportunity Zones are select census tracts in which businesses, equipment, and real property can receive investment through special funding. They allow investors to receive federal tax incentives by investing their capital gains into select communities known as Opportunity Zones using special investment vehicles called Opportunity Funds.

​

  •  California Competes Tax Credits and Grants  – The California Competes Tax Credit (CCTC) is an income tax credit available to businesses that want to locate in California or stay and grow in California. Businesses of any industry, size, or location compete for over $180 million available in tax credits by applying in one of the three application periods each year. Applicants will be analyzed based on twelve different factors of evaluation, including number of full-time jobs being created, amount of investment, and strategic importance to the state or region.

  •  Jobs and Economic Development Incentive (JEDI) Zones  – The City of Los Angeles Jobs and Economic Development Incentive Zones (JEDI) Program provides economic development incentives for underserved areas that experience persistent unemployment and underemployment, low and moderate household income earnings, and neighborhood instability.
