• Pledge LA – PledgeLA is a coalition of tech companies and venture capital firms working to measurably increase diversity, equity, and community engagement, hosted by the Annenberg Foundation and the Office of Mayor Eric Garcetti.
• RENEW LA Taskforce – The Racial Equity and Newly Empowered Workplaces (RENEW) Task Force is a broad coalition committed to a clear goal: rooting out structural racism in our businesses and building a more just, fair, and equitable Los Angeles.
• AAPI LA – AAPI LA is an initiative to address the needs and challenges of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Angelenos and provide an outlet for sharing their stories given the rise in anti-Asian hate crimes and incidents since the start of the pandemic.
• LA for All Campaign – LA for All is a creative-led campaign to stand against hate and encourage our city to speak up and speak out against hate crimes and hate incidents.

Los Angeles has a long history of environmental justice activism. L.A.’s strides toward a carbon-free future is inclusive and focused on our diverse communities. To better connect environmental justice groups to the decisions made at City Hall, Los Angeles established the nation’s first-ever Climate Emergency Mobilization Office. • Nation’s first all-electric carshare program designed to serve low-income residents, which has provided over 63,000 trips with over 1.3 million miles driven
• Investing $150 million into two LADWP programs targeting low-income multifamily energy efficiency and building electrification, including free upgrades for renters
• Awarded a $32.25 million investment in Watts and $23 million in Pacoima-Sun Valley through California’s Transformative Climate Communities program
• Provided 913 youth with placement in green job opportunities through the Hire LA’s Youth program.
• First big city in the U.S. to raise the minimum wage to $15.
